The standard Komodo circuit is superb for adults but can exhaust young kids: pre-dawn Padar hikes, back-to-back snorkel drops, long open-water legs. A family charter reshapes the same highlights into a gentler rhythm:
- Short treks instead of summit pushes. On Padar, families walk to the first or second viewpoint — roughly 15–25 minutes up well-maintained steps — rather than the full ridge. The photo is nearly identical; the meltdown risk is not.
- Calm-bay snorkelling. We schedule shallow, current-free sites such as the Taka Makassar sandbar and the protected side of Pink Beach, where children can stand or float in waist-deep water over sand. Strong-current sites stay off the family plan entirely.

Do children get seasick on a Komodo liveaboard?
